Tears for Fears are not known to be a prolific band but they do have some unreleased songs, particularly from the last couple of decades.
Let’s collect our thoughts here. If we gather enough info with references, we can put together a wiki page.

Seeds of Love
It’s no secret that Rhythm of Life was demoed by TFF during the SOL sessions before being given to Oleta Adams. It was eventually released on the SOL SDE.
In one of the interviews to go with the SOL SDE, I’m sure I read Curt mention some other songs titles that were demoed. I reread the SDE booklet and the interviews on the SDE site but couldn’t find it.

The Hurting
I wouldn’t be surprised if there are unreleased songs from the early Hurting sessions. Wino is so different to anything that made the album. Perhaps there are other things that they experimented with until they got the groove.
Songs From the Big Chair
I doubt there anything unreleased from SFTBC. Anything that didn’t make the album was either on The Way You Are single or a b-side of the singles on the album.
Of the three SDEs, aside from Ryhthm of Life, there were no unreleased songs and Paul said nothing was found in the vaults. However, Roland may have his own personal tapes that didn’t make it to the record company vaults and he didn’t share with Paul.

I don't remember that, but I know Nicky Holland mentioned that Roland had written something called "Julian" for his brother. (Not for me, LOL.) The song was probably never finished. Same goes for a track Roland and Ian Stanley were working on in this same era - they were trying to write a song for Michael Jackson! Both these tidbits come from the 80sography interviews. EDIT: There must be at least one more unreleased version of "Rhythm of Life", since it was a track the band worked on with Chris Hughes, but the two versions on the SOL box set were the Orzabal/Holland demo and the Townhouse Jam. The programmed backing track for the studio version showed up on "My Life in the Suicide Ranks".

Hi! It catches my attention, how "UP Above The World" has disappeared among the songs of the boys. Viewing copyrighted songs on this page, you can see that Sacha Skarbek is listed as author/songwriter, not Roland, Curt or both. Which inclines me to think that this song was discarded by the boys as a product of "speed dating". Although in that article you shared, Roland mentions it as a song with a great, fantastic beat. With which, now it seems to me more strange that that song disappeared there in that way. It wasn't even part of the bonus tracks. Perhaps in the future it will appear as part of a special edition, with unreleased songs. Best regards!

I think the fact he said ‘Up above the world’ has a fantastic beat but didn’t talk about the song or the lyrics wasn’t the greatest praise. So, I’m not at all surprised that song has disappeared. I am surprised that neither Roland nor Curt are songwriters on it. They haven’t ever released a song that one of them didn’t write other than the covers.
