This thread is intended as a more or less comprehensive overview over live recordings by TFF over the years - and possibly also as a basis for future releases. There are three categories:
* professional recordings (green)
* good quality bootlegs (blue)
* average quality bootlegs (red)
Videos are underlined, the rest is audio only. And among the professional recordings, the ones in italics might not exist in full.
Tour dates taken from here and here
YouTube links are always appreciated!
1982 - Club Dates
1983 - The Hurting Tour
March 25 Glasgow, UK
Radio Clyde broadcast
April 8 Oxford Apollo, Oxford, UK
Start of the Breakdown / Change
Excellent sound quality! Sadly only two songs were ever released: on "The Way You Are" 12" single, later included on "The Hurting" box set
April 10 Lyceum, London, UK
Capital Radio broadcast
April 11 Bath, UK
King Biscuit Flower Hour broadcast
April 18 Hammersmith Odeon, London, UK
BBC broadcast, available as radio transcription LP and of course bootleg. Sadly vetoed for inclusion on "The Hurting" box set because of less than steller vocal performances
There was also a LP by Westwood One. Does it also contain parts of this gig or of another?
May 12 Sartory-Säle, Cologne, Germany
From the "Rockpalast" series. Good video quality, TV broadcast. The only full concert video of the early years, including reprises of "Mad World" and "Pale Shelter" (short repertoire!). Sadly there is no official release yet.
May 14 Rotterdam, Netherlands
FM broadcast
May 19 Paris, France
FM broadcast
1983 - The Way You Are Mini-Tour
December 14/15 Hammersmith Odeon, London, UK
Good video quality. Released as "In My Mind's Eye" on VHS and later on DVD as part of "The Hurting" box set (but the setlist was actually longer, and the video is severely overproduced - sadly it seems that the original footage is lost, as the live version of "Broken" on SFTBC couldn't be remixed...]

1985 - Songs from the Big Chair Tour
April 24, Rotterdam, Netherlands
FM broadcast. Bootleg "Memories" link
May 29, 30, 31, June 1, Massey Hall, Toronto, Canada
Excellent video quality. Parts of the video included in "Scenes from the Big Chair" documentary, some audio tracks used on singles, some tracks were remixed for "Songs from the Big Chair" box set. It's not known whether the full original footage exists. A full live album, missing only the encores "Suffer the Children" and "Change" and was released on CD and 2LP in 2021

Bootleg "The Live Parade"
June 30, Knebworth Park, Knebworth, UK
Change / Everybody Wants to Rule the World / Badman's Song
Excellent quality from the big Knebworth festival. Last gig of the 1990 tour and last with Curt until the reunion. Only three songs are included on the Knebworth video/DVD/Blu-Ray, on the CD "Change" is missing. However the entire concert was broadcast and it seems pretty obvious that there is film footage of the complete festival. Sadly the rights probably can't be cleared for a future release...
