Sadly the "literal music video" has been taken down but there's still this, which really tore me to shreds:
And this other parody

I’ve not seen these for ages. The ‘literal’ version is very funny.
Is Head Over Heals the only video of theirs that is not mainly performance?

Is Head Over Heals the only video of theirs that is not mainly performance? Of the SFTBC era, it's the one with the most elaborate storyline... the US version of Mothers Talk had some scenes intercut that spoofed nuclear angst. And although the Sowing the Seeds of Love video has no real story to speak of, it does have a bit more than just performance. Advice for the Young at Heart was about a wedding... Speaking of which, check out the comments under the video. Nary an English comment in sight!

Yes, Advice wasn’t a popular song in the U.K. I didn’t care for it much at the time either but I like it more now.
I love that there are three versions of the Mothers Talk video and yet none of them are great (but I love the song). Still, good to have some variety to watch.
In my original question, I was thinking if there were other videos where TFF did more than just perform the song. In the Seeds videos, it seems they wanted to be seen as musicians rather than pop stars.

I admit I'm not the biggest expert on TFF videos! (partially because for many years, they tended to not be available in Germany, thanks to copyright problems with YouTube.) I'll have a look at some of the 90s clips later.
