Well, that was interesting.
It's not the greatest listen ever. For a start, the opening as well as the episode refers to TFF when it's only Roland on the show.
In the last ten minutes, Roland seems to get a bit agitated, and you get an idea of how intense he can be. The interviewer (Steve Baltin) gets a bit on my nerves with his repeated "It's funny" and other phrases, so maybe Roland was getting annoyed too. But it does confirm that Curt is probably far easier company.
The most interesting part, to me, was what he let slip about the coming tour.
- The first song played live will be "The Tipping Point".
- They will probably drop a couple of songs from The Hurting.
- "No Small Thing", "Break the Man", "My Demons", "Long, Long Time" are all going to be in the set
- "Please Be Happy" will likely not be played live. (And since "Stay" was released in 2017 and never played since then, I guess that's also not a live song.)
- Roland says he absolutely loves "Badman's Song" although he's not sure they'll keep playing it. "Creep" also seems like it's up in the air. Personally, I'd get rid of "Creep" without any second thoughts. Maybe shortening Badman's Song to album length will free up a bit of timing although that would mean losing the jam parts, which obviously are the only part of the set where the guys can let their hair down a bit.
