YouTuber review of the album:
He can’t have been more than a toddler when ELAHE was released but has given a fair review. He praises the album but, without naming him, doesn’t rate Curt’s songs.
Can’t say I disagree but I also feel the songs fit well on the album.

Another YouTuber:
I agree that we need more artists making artistic statements.

The German RollingStone had a review that can only be described as "lukewarm" and the album got only 2.5/5 stars. Strangely enough, the reviewer interpreted "My Demons" as being from the perspective of Roland's father. I did agree with the point that the album could've done with more rock influence... Here it is... And now the mildly infuriating translation by me... Undecided between rock and club sounds "The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I ever had", they sang in 1983, and Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith still haven't made peace with the world. But the protest sometimes gets lost in this soup of sloshing electro beats and soft guitars; it's not always clear who's singing. Orzabal speaks with the voice of his brutal father, calling himself "breathing disaster", Smith uses commonplaces: "The higher the mountain, the harder the fall." Their first album since 2004 comes across as if many producers hunched over the songs to breed the sound of the 21st century - but Tears for Fears had been well-advised as a rock band. Not a weak comeback, but one without brand awareness.

I don’t disagree that there are less hooks but the songs are still great.

The author must be passionate about the group to devote the time it must have taken to put that together. You have to praise them for that. I did like the mention of The Way You Are being a fan favourite. It’s accurate. I’m a fan and it is a favourite of mine. I don’t get the feeling I’m in the majority there though. I don’t agree with other things like Mothers Talk and Shout being dismissed and all their albums after Seeds of Love, including the Tipping Point, being slated but everyone is entitled to the opinion.

What's the best thread for us to discuss our own thoughts on the album?
